Meet FurPlanet—a one-stop online store for pets and their humans. Think about it: from gourmet pet food to fancy accessories, this site has everything to pamper furry friends. And guess what? This was my pehla international project, straight outta UAE!

Client ka demand ekdum precise tha: “Make it easy for pet parents to browse through thousands of products without breaking a sweat.” Aur haan, homepage ka layout bhi pre-approved tha. So, creativity ka ek chhota sa compromise karna pada, but the rest? Pure magic.

The Mission

Mission clear tha: deliver a modern, user-friendly pets website layout that screamed “premium but practical”. Pet owners shouldn’t have to hunt for their needs—it was all about smooth navigation and easy shopping.

Also, the client wanted a scalable setup so that adding new products or brands wouldn’t feel like a task from hell. Bonus request? The website needed to make their UAE customers say “Wow, that’s pawsome!” 🐾

Mera Kaam (My Role)

So, yahaan meri journey started like this:

  • Product Mapping Guru Mode: Uploaded over 1000 products and neatly categorized them into a 3-level hierarchy. Imagine the Excel sheets and database hustle—pure masala. 🗂️
  • Brands Page Banaya: I created dedicated brand pages for each product line so every brand had its own little red carpet moment.
  • Client-Provided Layout: The homepage layout was shared by the client. While there wasn’t much room for creativity there, we ensured it was pixel-perfect and functional.
  • WordPress Setup: Built the entire website on WordPress with seamless plugins for search and categorization.
  • Team Player Vibes: Worked alongside the BabaPinnak team to get the client’s constant feedback. Haan, layout change requests aayi thi, aur phir se banaya bhi. No complaints—client happy, toh main happy!

Reflection Time

Ab yeh project toh mere liye ek learning ka goldmine tha! It was my first international project, and trust me, UAE ke clients ke expectations high hote hain (understandably).

The biggest win? Managing those crazy categories without losing my mind. 😅 And let’s not forget the client ke layout ke nakhre. Kabhi lagta tha, “Yaar, yeh bhi change karna hai?” But at the end of the day, the polished final product made all the effort worth it.

Personally, FurPlanet taught me how to balance creativity and client satisfaction. Thoda trial-and-error hua, but the jo seekha, woh priceless hai.

Results

  • Functionality Check: The website was super smooth, with pet parents easily finding products thanks to intuitive navigation and categorization.
  • Brands Page Highlight: Every brand got its spotlight moment, making the client’s product lineup look top-notch.
  • Pehli Baar Magic: For me, this project holds a soft spot. It wasn’t just a pet food website—it was a confidence boost, a “Bhai, tu kar sakta hai!” moment.

(Note: Wireframes and prototypes bhi available hain, haan. The live website design might look a bit different now, but the foundation? Solid hai!)
